Zurich bunkers

Hi all,

Don't know if this is the correct place to ask about this but I'm very curious about the history of the bunkers I've seen around Uetliberg and surrounding forests. I live close to the entrance to what appears to be an extensive one and I always ask myself what the story is behind it. Anybody know how old these are? Where they ever used? Its quite hard to enter now since they are usually full of mud, branches, garbage, water, etc.
One of these days the curiosity will get the best of me and I'll gear up to go look in there... I hope curiosity doesn't kill the cat...

The best part is that I live just a short walk away... I might have some bunker exploration this summer.
